Last year at the Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival I bought some amazing roving from Creatively Dyed Yarns.

4 oz hand dyed 20 % milk protein, 40 % silk, 40 % wool
Yes, that is milk protein. So it has been hanging out in my spinning stash for a year and I was thinking, hey! I should spin that up one of these days. So I did. It was so much fun to spin and this is what it became!

It is so silky soft and snug-able. I am forgetting the yardage at the moment, somewhere around 500yds I think? It is about a sport weight. And since it was so snuggie and happy I just had to start knitting on it right away!
I have been eyeing up the textured shawl recipe on Ravelry which can be found here. I just knew this yarn would work so well for something like this. And it is working well! I have made good progress so far!

I am so happy with how this is turning out, I think it will be a great casual, feel good shawl. As you can see from the photos I am switching up the pattern a bit, but hey, I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t!
Also, this week, I had a request for a project from the pink and blue yarn I made last week.

My friend Paul really loves pink and blue, and I promised him a knit item of his choosing for bringing me to the airport really early in the morning during the Arctic Blast so I could fly back to Wisconsin. He requested that I knit a pink and blue cozy for his beverage cozy for his bike bag. Ask and ye shall receive.

And here it is in action!

I hope you enjoy it Paul!
