Last week was my Mom’s birthday and I did a little secret knitting for her!
Happy Birthday Mom!
This is the Luna Moth Shawl from Elann. I knit it with Blue Sky Alpaca’s Alpaca Sport Weight yarn, about 5.5 skeins. I loved knitting it and loved the yarn (a lot) and am so happy with how it turned out. It knit up surprisingly fast and was a joy. And now it is so wonderful to see Mom wearing it. It is a beautiful lilac purple color which is one I knew she would like. The funny part is I told my dad I was making her a shawl and he could make her a shawl pin, and he decided to make her a butterfly and I hadn’t even told him I was making a Luna Moth pattern! Plus, just as he made me a bunch of wonderful shawl pins for christmas he made her many as well.
