Knitting Overload

So I have lots of knitting related things to show you tonight.

First off, remember that Llama yarn I showed you here? I decided that this would for sure become a February lady sweater, and since it is February I would start it! Here is what I have started.

This is knitting up beautifully. I really like the slight variability in my spinning, I like how it gives it that very slight irregular look to the fabric. I am so excited, and I think it will be totally do-able to get this done in February.

Another project I have just recently started is Joel’s sweater. Joel and I designed the sweater ourselves, it is a v-neck raglan and super-cabled. Check out my crazy charts just for the first 10-15 inches!!!!

The yarn is a beautiful Holly-green variation of cotton fleece. It is a cotton/wool blend and I really like it. It is showing the cables nicely. I just have to REALLY pay attention when I knit it to follow the charts.

So, I thought I would also introduce you to some other projects I am working on here and there.

First up, the Arbor sweater. I started this in February of ‘08, but other projects ended up being more important/exciting and it got shoved in a bag, and I decided I should get this out and start working on it some more. So here she is, isn’t she beautiful? I knitting this out of random vintage wool I got at Goodwill a while back.

Also, I have mentioned I started the Lily of the Valley shawl with some Misti Alpaca Lace. I am not feeling this right now, so it is not being worked on actively right now, but it is in the knitting basket!

Ok, so now a fun yarn story. We went to Seattle this weekend, and were leaving Saturday morning after picking up Laura. Well, Friday night as I was going to bed I had to check Ravelry for updates (don’t you?) and noticed a posting for a yarn rummage sale for Saturday and Sunday very close to Laura’s house! CRAZY! So the next morning we picked up Laura and I drug them both with. Apparently this lady has collected WAY too much yarn and was selling it off. Check out my haul!
