Welcome to Shanghai

I am in Shanghai! I left Monday morning and arrived Tuesday night. The flight was ok, I actually didn’t get much knitting done, sadly. A little, but not a lot.

To get to the hotel we got to ride the Maglev, a super fast train. 301 KM/hr = 187 miles/hr.

The hotel is nice, I am going to be here for 6 nights! Here is the view:

Joshua and I headed out to find some dinner after we arrived and got some decently good chinese food.

our order
Our order tag hangs at the table so when the people delivering food drop plates off they know that they are giving us the right thing and if we are missing anything.

crysanthamum tea
This tea was delicious and so sweet. It was chrysanthemum.

Wednesday we visited a tradeshow and then went to People’s square.

Wonderful translation

There are so many people everywhere! It is kind of annoying, it is really had to get around everywhere because there are people, people, people.

A very nice pick-me-up. Check out that large, crab soup dumpling. It was amazing. AMAZING!

street vendor

I did not eat this, but it was a neat looking street vendor with stuff-on-a-stick.

Well, today we are off on more business. Not quite sure what the day all has in plan for me. I hope it does not rain and that it does not get too hot.
