Amusement

I have been having fun with my projects lately, mainly because I have been so busy with the garden and all, I want to make the most of my crafty time!

Jenny mentioned that tenny Matine…

…needed a giant pear. I thought this sounded like a good idea. Thus I present to you…GIANT PEAR!

Giant Pear is about 10″ tall. All crocheted by me with scrap yarn. Hooray! The knitting girls think I should write up a pattern. I am thinking about it.

I have also spun recently! Woah! hold your horses missey! Yes, I spun.

It is a two ply of grey CVM and white rambouillet. It is dreamy. It is a worsted weight and I yielded 420 yards of the stuff (On one bobbin none-the-less!)

I am happy with it. Now what to knit?

Oh, and this weekend was Black Sheep down in Eugene. I was a really good girl and did not buy too frivolously. I did get 2 oz of tortoise angora fiber to spin. I have never spun Angora so it should be a fun challenge. I also got a ton (well, maybe a pound, but a bunch!) of lace weight. I am knitting a sweater. More on that to come. But really exciting was Alli bought a spinning wheel! I have to admit it is prettier than mine :(

Oh, and I should take a photo of my back yard gardens, huh! That is where most of my hard work has been going lately. Digging, planting, installing, cutting, laying….

Snowflakes are falling

More slippers, seriously?
