I have two finished projects to share too!

First up is the Hemlock Ring Blanket by Jared Flood.  The yarn is Cascade 220 Heathers and I used about 3.5 skeins.  I used size 10.5 needles (Addi Turbos).  The tip to tip diameter was about 5 1/2 feet when I blocked it.

For those of you wondering there are 144 little loops in the border!  The bulk of this knitted up really fast.  I knit pretty much everything except the border while I was in China on my last trip.

I am really happy with how this turned out.  It is not too heavy but not too delicate.

It has beautiful drape.

Next up is the Duck Soup sweater for some friends who are expecting soon.

This is Duck Soup by Jujube & Lolo.  It was a great pattern and it was a lot of fun to knit.  The yarn is Lion Brand Jiffy and some stash worsted weight off-white for the buttons.  Size 9 needles.  I am very happy with how it all came out.

Ok, and a few other project updates while I am at it:

My purse knitting socks are coming along nicely.

Socks being knit from sock blank I died myself, just plain stockinette.

Joel’s sweater is coming along slowly, but I am at the point to join the neck for the bottom of the v, so I am hoping it goes faster now?  Hmmm.  But I like how the cables are developing!

Lastly I started the Hanami Stole by Melanie Gibbons with my Louet Mooi Laceweight.  Being knit on 3’s.  I am loving this.  The yarn is amazing, the pattern is interesting but not too difficult.  LOVE!
