From the last photo you can start to see the spectrum of dyeing and the amount that occurred. It was completely wonderful. I have so much fun with the knitting girls, I hardly noticed I was standing on concrete in unsupportive flip-flops for 7 hours! But it was so worth it! More BETTER photos to come.

In other news I have been spinning lately!

“Daffodil” Batts (That I do not think looks like Daffodils and I am a bit disappointed)

DSC04705

Traditional 3 ply of wool, mohair and glitz
3 3/8 oz yielding 254 yds

DSC04710

Navajo plied wool, mohair and glitz
7/8 oz yielding 68 yds

These are going up for sale on my etsy shop!

Also spun recently is this behemoth!

DSC04714

2 ply, 1 ply BFL and 1 ply Tussah Silk
6 oz yielding 532 yds!!!!!

DSC04717

Navajo plied BFL
1 1/2 oz yielding 66 yds

These are both self-striping. Not sure what I am going to do with them…. the colors would be great for a baby sweater, but I am not so sure about that…

If you are looking for a baby that needs a sweater, I can always offer mine. He’s six months old and we just moved into the hills of northern NJ, plenty of snow and cold for many months of the year!
