More Babies!

In preparation for another baby due soon to another friend, I got started on this baby blanket and totally cranked it out!

Yellow and White Baby Blanket

Yellow and White Baby Blanket

I made up the plan for the blanket as I went along.  I used up some anonymous stash baby yarn so I am not quite sure what it is, but it is an acrylic based yarn.

I cast on 12 stitches in the round on 10 1/2 needles.  I worked yellow in Stockinette stitch for 20 rows, increasing on either side of each corner stitch on every other row.  I then worked reverse Stockinette stitch in white for 20 rows, increasing on either side of each corner stitch on every other row.  I then repeated the yellow again.  For the border I went back to white, but only 5 rows this time, and then I bound off with the yellow using my favorite stretchy bind-off technique.

I am really happy with it, I like that it is really stretchy and that it is reversible.
