Goodbye 2008, Hello 2009!

Hello Everyone!  Happy New Year!  In some places of the world it is already 2009, but here in the Pacific Northwest we have a few hours yet to go.  I am so happy to be ringing in the new year with my husband in Portland!  (We made it back yesterday, the drive was better then could be expected and it was great visiting family and friends for the holidays.  No comments on the issues getting back to Wisconsin, that is a long story and I would rather not think of it right now.)

In crafting news I have been super productive with knitting.  I need to get photos taken, so maybe that will happen tomorrow.  I also got some great gifts that I am really excited to tell you all about.  So there are a few things to look forward to in the new year.

I am not a big new years resolution person.  But if I were to list a few things that are on my mind I hope to be able to spend more time with my wonderful husband and continue to have fun together and explore and learn new things.  I hope that we enjoy living in a new city in a new area of the country and can find new friends and fun out here. I hope to spend more time with old friends who I now will have the pleasure of living close enough to see more than once a year.  I hope to push my limits and try new things this year; especially to try to sell my spinning!  As always I hope to be more healthy and active and loose a few pounds.  I hope to continue learning new things and enjoying life and being happy.  Oh, and I hope to be a good blogger and post a least once a week :)

I really hope that everyone has a safe new years celebration and can find some good in life even if things are not going so well.  Thank you for reading my blog, I hope you find it entertaining or interesting, or at the very least amusing.  Take care, and I will see you in 2009!

  • IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII miss you. :(

Glad you two made it back safely–happy 2009 to you both!

p.s. I found a fun pattern to use for that beautiful yarn–hooray!

  • We were hoping you’d make it home on Tuesday night while we were knitting, but, it was good to know you were close to home and safely through the mountains. Hope you have a great 2009 and everything works out! My vest is almost done (I bought the yarn when we were at Iris in November before you left). I promise to have some pictures up on Ravelry soon! Happy New Year!
