Last night at our Wednesday night knitting group I got half-way on my sweater! Yay! I love when I get half way done with something, the light appears at the end of the tunnel and I know I can do it. I figure I did 6 cable repeats in 5 days, so since I need to do 9 more that part should be done in just over a week if I can stay at the same pace. Then the hellish ribbing for the top, yuck-o.
In other news I am forcing myself to not spin any of my beautiful new things until I get this sweater done. I am so excited to have it done and wear it, but it is just taking time. So no spinning…well…maybe I can find some time this weekend? That might work. Oh! I decided what I want to do with the two batts. For the citrus batt I am going to spin it so it stays in the very large color change from green to yellow to orange. I will do this with both batts and then ply them together. I am thinking then I can have some item like a hat or bag or something that will have a very large gradient change going on and it should be pretty awesome. I hope. And then the blue sparkly batt is going to be plied with thread and beads. I have never done beads before, so I am really stoked about this. I think it will be the perfect application for beading.
So there you have it. I don’t think there will be any knitting today, sadly. I have a class this evening. But Joel and I are staying in tomorrow night, so maybe I can get some knitting done and watch my DVR of Project Runway from yesterday (shh… don’t tell me what happened). For dinner we are making fish my Grandpa caught on his lake and fries…I am so craving fries! Your classic Wisconsin Fish Fry, with Minnesota fish, oh well.
Sneak Peak-Saturday, New Michaels’ store, more to come!

The llama fibre looks lovely; you’re very disciplined waiting till you’ve finished your knitting before you start spinning all those yummy batts you have waiting!
Hooray for being half-way through your sweater, although I’m guessing you are farther along now.
I agree with Samsara. You are definitely disciplined. Something I need to be more often.
And that fish fry sounds delightful!!
LOVE your Little Denim Sweater, can’t wait to see it finished.
I expect to start on my circular shrug as soon as my swatch is dry.
My family and I also attended the WI wool and sheep festival. I bought a desperately needed yarn swift called a lazy susan yarn swift from suttersgoldnfleece.com. We did see the 4 horned sheep or is it a ram?!
Take care,
Janice
